hi. i have a tickle in my chest which makes me cough and short of breath. does this sound like asthma? i have a appt. with pulmunary dr. on tuesday to check for sleep apnea and i dont know if i should mention this or not. thanks for any help.

A tickle in your chest? I'm not sure what you mean...but I would make sure to mention it to the doctor when you go. :-)

thanks for your reply midget. i really do appreciate it. the tickle feels like it is in my brochial tubes like bronchitis but i am coughing up nothing. tickle is the only word i know how to use. like when you have a tickle in your nose and have to sneeze this one causes me to cough. thanks again.

In most cases with asthma it feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest.

i just got back from dr. and i have asthma. the tickle is wheezing. so i am on advair and singular.

Glad you're getting treatment for asthma. I am advair and have been on singular during certain time of the year. It helps with advair to rinse your mouth afterwards..if I don't I get hoarse. Did the doc give you an inhaler...like albuterol? Take care

yea i got an albuterol inhaler. thank you for info on advair. they showed me how to use it and said to rinse my mouth but didint say why. again thanks for yall's help.
