If at all possible, I'd love some replies and input as to my current situation. About 2 months ago I was with a buddy of mine at publix and we wayed ourselves on that big scale they have. He's a muscle monster (just got back from army boot camp about 2 months before this, but has always been a beast) and I was within a few pounds of him . . . Not even being 50% as muscular as he is, I knew this was a bad thing as we are the same age and same height. At that point I'd pretty much been eating crap (burger king, taco bell, etc) almost nightly for the past year or so (when I was working out before and stayed away from it) I also noticed my chest getting saggy and being a guy, i didnt want this lol . . . so I started eating healthier and working out out pretty frequently (butterfly/bench press, curls, crunches, rocky sit-ups, pushups, occasional pull-ups) . . . my father has been on and off atkins over the past few years and I've watched him lose a good 20+ pounds before . . probably 30 (he read the book throughly tho and was an avid follower) so I figured I could live with a variation of that (not so strict tho) cuz I really am a big eater and small meals leave me energyless lol, i'd almost prefer a huge salad as long as it fills me up to a small portion of something more tasty, or 2 steaks or some chicken breasts for dinner as opposed to a smaller meal eaten out or something . . so from that day I quit fast food cold turkey and pretty much have been eating casaer salads, steak, chicken breasts, and burgers (with no bread of course) from home on the barbecue for the past few months . . . the only eating out I've really done is barbecue restraunts, pork and stuff like that . . I haven't gone nuts tho, which I've heard is bad . . . about 3-4 times I've been in restraunts in the past 2 months and ate normal (pizza, sandwhich, chicken parmesan, and a sandwhich and fries once) . . . i've also cut out all soda and have stuck to mostly water, diet soda, ice tea, and gatorade/powerade form the machines at the gym on occasion) . . .which i'm fine with . . . . I have lost weight . . . I'm 19 years old, 5`8-ish and when I started I was 180+ pounds . . . now I'm around 165 and I have been told I look thinner (I was never "Fat" but definitely had some there under the shirt, lol) and my upper body has increased some muscle and I see a little definition in my stomach, altho I still got a little stomach to lose . . . . this has more or less been my appraoch . . . i tried the Stacker 2 Ephedra free suppliments once in awile, never saw anything great about them tho . . .

I'm wondering what i can do from here to lose a little more fat and become more defined . . .and if I should alter my diet further . . .

all input appreciated . . .

I would say that you have mastered moderation. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
you eat good without depriving yourself and then have pizza or whatever once in awhile...
you have conquered what most never will, moderation..
I would say increase your exercise and don't forget cardio..and be sure you are drinking lots of water and you will find yourself they way you want to be.
do a search about water for body size and you can find your intake amounts for your size, and check out some training ideas also easily found on the web and you'll be rocking.

Yea I'm guessing I have some flaws though . . .as most of my diet is always meat and chicken, pork, etc on most days of the week . . . which has me feeling fine and doing okay, but from what i've been reading on here that might not bee too good . . i guess its like i said in the original post, i'm a big eater so i'd rather grill 2-3 chicken breassts for dinner and still have a big dinner than eat a small portion of something more tasty, lol . . .same with steak, pork, etc (all you can eat barbecue places are great with plain pork)

But yea I guess I'd agree on the moderation things . . .the only time i ever really have anythign questionably unhealty is on the weekends at a restraunt (or I end up at a restraunt on a lunch meating or something) lol . . .but in the past 2 months I can recall 4 meals that where even semi-bad . . . so I'm doing okay there . . .

Yep, moderation is a big factor here, I always try to live by that rule, "ALL things in consideration, Some things in moderation"
