View Full Version : Can salt water really relieve headaches?

I wanted to share this for whatever its worth. One day this past June I had had a headache for about three days. It just wouldn't quit. I took the kids to the beach and after about an hour of sitting there watching them play in the ocean I realized that my headache was gone. I get a lot of sinus headaches in the summer and the next time I went to the beach with one, same thing happened. So, for those of you who live near a beach, this could be an option when you get a headache. I would imagine that if you do not live near one sniffing some salt water up your nose or holding your head over some boiling salt water for a period of time might also work.

I noticed when I go to the beach I do not get migraines until I hit the casinos which are off the boardwalk.
I think that's because it's a combination of the "flashing lights" & loud noises" from the slot machines.
When I feel one coming, I just take a Zomig Nasal Spray, leave the casino & hit the boardwalk/beach. Migraine gone.

I know, I know......it was the Zomig but the salty breeze helped too! :D
