Going to give my son a gathering/going away party. He is trying to stay free from all substances because he enlisted. Stupid hubby wants to get a keg and invite his school friends to the party. They are 17-19 YO for pete's sake. I have no objection to them coming but NO drinking on my property. I refuse to get a keg. I don't need all that drama at my house. Told hubby this morning if any kids show up drinking they will be asked to leave and if they don't comply I will call the law myself and tell them they showed up that way and I want them gone. I'm not trying to be a party pooper but I can't risk it. If CPS caught wind of that, what the HEL* is he thinking? Oh yeah that's right he doesn't think. He has fried his friggin brain. I needed to vent so bad I feel like I'm going to go off on him. He's 45 going on 10 and it's driving me up the wall.

NO WAY.............You're right, he has fried his friggin brain. I couldn't imagine letting something like this happen. You can vent all you want, I with you.....don't even have to think about this one. What kind of a message is that sending to these kids? And the cops........you're absolutely right, you'd all be in jail!! Plant your feet hard in the ground on this one.

You have every right to stand up for yourself on this one. Being the adult of legal age anyone who is not of age at the party who is drinking and you provide alchohol to them you are legally responsible if anything happens. It is illegal to provide alcohol to underage kids. Don't back down on this one even if you are unpopular because of it. You have the right to stand up for your rights to not provide alcohol to anyone underage. It's not that I am against drinking. I am a huge drinker actually but never ever would provide alcohol to someone underage because of what could come back to me if anything happened.
