Sponsor notpain 09-28-2005, 11:23 PM I used a similar product. They all contain essential the same herbs in their own fomulas - Black Walnut, Pau D'Arco, etc. Colonix is spendy. Colonix gets a lot of attention because of the gross pictures on the website. I did the cleanse - the diet was aweful and difficult, the capsules were fine, the drops of herbs tasted horrible. I noticed no parasites in my stool - but I didn't expect to find them, I was more concerned about Candida - the cleanse I did attacks both. I then went to my doctor and had a complete bloodwork up and no Candida. I believe many do have intestinal parasites or bowel problems - I have always been regular. Keep up the cleanse it can't be anything but good for you unless your doctor specifically tells you not too. The couple of weeks you need to complete it are going to pass anyways. DTemple 10-04-2005, 09:27 PM I did a colon cleanse colonix for three straight months with great results. I took tablets in the morning for parasites, fiber in the morning in a milkshake, and then a tea that helps you sleep at night. I have chronic constipation and the cleanse cleaned out very old fecal material which was identical to what was described in the many testimonials, I think I saw more than one flat worm - very long over 12 inches, and I had a much larger than normal volume of bowel movement daily. It helped ALOT with Candida and digestion. I plan to do this one once a year because it was so effective. I wish I could stay on it all the time. jbbrocky 10-17-2005, 10:40 PM how long should you do a cleanse? i take a bulking agent followed by fiber. its amazing how much better you can feel from this Frank186 10-19-2005, 07:58 PM can anyone explain to me what these bowel/colon cleanser products do that laxatives don't do? I'm thinking if a few doses of fleet phosophosoda is good enough for making your instestines squeaky clean for colonoscopies then using laxatives once or twice a year would work pretty well. Frank rugrats4 10-24-2005, 11:04 PM FRank, Very good question, I've often wondered the same thing myself. I surely hope someone can answer this question! my2cents2 11-07-2005, 07:18 PM I agree with Frank too. For one thing, I don't believe there is any scientific evidence that supports pounds of decaying fecal matter in the bowel. I can see where occasionally you might feel better after a truly empty bowel. If the bowel needs cleansing, a series of large volume enemas will do the job. Furthermore, it will only take 1-2 days, not weeks, depending on how many you want to take in a day. It also costs one heck of a lot less. barkingshark 11-11-2005, 02:13 AM Scientists say that overuse of laxatives cause the cell wall of the colon and intestines to change color permanently and that this is a precancerous condition. Normally the cells are light colored and turn brown or black from repeated use. radiant_girl 11-13-2005, 11:18 PM The herbs in these colon cleanses actually help scrape the built up mucous and old fecal matter from your bowels and purge you of them. Laxatives only soften your stool. The reason you would use a laxative before a colonoscopy is just to get your intestines clear of any recent waste products so that the colonoscopy can be performed. jennyVee 11-20-2005, 10:04 PM hi i use a product called oxy-powder it works really good, even helps my stomach problems, its all natural and cleans one out very well try it they have a site online |
