First Off let me tell you bout my activities. I have 2 Jobs, one retail and one computer.

If im not at my pc or school, im at work or my girlfriends house
I do a lot of sitting and laying down and sleeping.

I get this restless feeling in my arms and legs from time to time that last a couple of days sometimes. Like i gotta keep stretching them out. Im not sure if its because i rest them so much that when i finally get out and do something, they are weakend.

Also is it just me or do you get dizzy more easy when your in a dark room?
Any Answers would be nice thanks!

Also i do have Pvc's of the heart that are requent, but was told by 3 different docs that they dont see anything wrong with them even tho they are so often. Thanks!

I don't know what you have Yougokid but I wonder if we are similar,I get 'needles' from the back of my arm, near the shoulder, down to elbow, comes to the front of my arm and down to my thumb and 'pointer' finger, sometimes there is slight pain, but mostly just numbness. If I rub or hold the arm it goes away for a while.I have emphysema and have been trying to walk to lose some weight, then this started.I am 50 lbs. over weight since quitting smoking and going on inhalers.Anyone know my problam?Needles in arm.

Yugokid - Look up Restless Leg Syndrome. You may have this. I'm not sure though as I dont know much about it. But the restlessness you explained is a symptom.

yea it may be it, i am only 23, but i guess anyone who sits at a desk for 50% of the day, that may be the issue

I have restless leg symdrone and don't sleep very good for it.My doc wrote a scrip of Mirapex.

I'm not able to be very active, as I am waiting for a Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant. They don't want to do the surgery that I really need. As my age is 64, and I'm over weight. One of my surgeons would do it, but tells me he hates to put me threw it. I have had 4 back surgeries already and in time the pain just goes on up my back. I was told this from the begaining.

I have changed docs and this one will only do SCS. He keeps putting me off. I get so furstrated at him, as he diagnosed me last May. Then sent me to other Dr's all summer. With vacations, its took that long. Its now October and I'm still waiting.

If I were you I would go to a good neurologist and have him look for your problem. You may have to get a referral.
Fancylady, :)

Hey Yugokid,
It sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome to me too. You can have RLS in your arms as well. Mine is being treated with a simple iron supplement, but depending on the underlying cause of yours, your doctor might prescribe something else.

You're heart has already been checked and given a clean bill of health, so you don't need to worry about the PVC's. I've had them all my life and they don't slow me down one bit.

cookiepls-
i have 15-18k a day, and plan on having surgery for them soon.

now can the restless arms feel like sorta weakness too?

And i also found my body to be "trembling" my arms are the main culpret. when i get nervous i get shaky more. Maybe i do need more iron in my system? what do i do to counter act the shakes?

Hmm.....The weakness and trembling sounds like something else entirely. Depending on how much or often you eat, and your weight, the weakness and trembling you describe can come from not eating enough which makes your blood glucose level drop and would cause the shakes. It would also make you more prone to nervousness and the nervousness would make it even worse. Viscous cycle. If this doesn't sound like you at all, then maybe someone else would have a better idea of what might be going on.

Yikes! Not healthy at all Yugokid. You need to keep your blood glucose level reasonably constant all day. Otherwise we can end up with headaches, dizziness, trembling, restlessness, inability to sleep, or too sleepy during the day, brain fog, and this list could go on and on with unpleasant things.
You should be eating at least 3 times a day. Eating every 3 to 4 hours would be optimal. Just some light snacks between meals. Whatever you like that's reasonably nutritious and not loaded with sugar or fat. It doesn't have to be anything complicated.
If you will do that, or even just doing the regular 3 healthy meals a day, you'll feel the difference. Your energy will increase, and so will your alertness. You can bring all kinds of stuff to work with you to snack on so there's no reason not to eat. I also suggest you take a multi-vitamin every day because you're definitely not getting the nutrients your body needs right now.
The poor eating habits are probably the cause of your feeling dizzy in a dark room too. Also, it will aggravate the already annoying PVC's. You might be able to eliminate all your problems with diet alone, but in any case, I promise you'll start feeling amazingly better very quickly.
Oh yeah, don't want to forget this. Eat Breakfast!!!! :D Even more important than lunch or dinner.

will do, now i gotta question bout multi-vitamins, i take Verapamil 120mg. Is there any type of multi-vitamin i should aviod? anyone that would be best?
Im gonna for sure start eating a bit more, im not skinny, im a built 190 pounder, but still. but i'll do my best to eat a bit more often, even tho work and school have pretty much taken over =) hmmmmm

10am 3pm and 6pm will be my new eating times, give or take a hour ^_^

I didn't realize you were taking meds. The Verapamil can have side effects that might also make you to feel dizzy and even make your PVC's seem worse.

You'll need to read the information sheet that came with your meds, or if you didn't get one, call your doctor and ask him about the possible side effects.

I think it's really important to give your doctor a call before you start your vitamins. Ask him which are safe for you to take, and which, if any, you should avoid. I know that there's an interaction between Verapamil and Calcium, and it should be avoided if you're taking the med for high blood pressure. If you're not taking it for high blood pressure, it might be ok to take calcium. Just be sure to ask your doctor. A lot of prescriptions also interfere with the absorption of some vitamins and minerals, so you might end up with other complications from a lack of them.

Are you taking the Verapamil for the irregular heartbeats or do you have chest pain, or high blood pressure? An aquantence of mine takes it for migrains. The reason I'm asking is because there just seems to be so many side effects with medications and if a person can avoid them without risking their health, they're usually better off.

I'm glad you're going to start eating more regular. Remember, you can eat at work and scool too. There's no law against grabbing a bite of cheese or something. None that I know of anyway. When I'm at work, I keep cheese and crackers in my desk drawer, and grapes and other snacks in the employee fridge. If you have to, just tell you're teacher what you're doing so he/she won't bother you about it.

i take them for the pvc's, which i dont get cause they help only a little, now when you mean Calcium, you mean the Calcium pill or do you mean milk too?

it could be that im not eating and it could be i may have strained mucles in my arms and legs lifting heavy product at work. No pain just weakness. but i am gonna eat more ofton.

this is a weird question, when i lift my left arm over my head and drop it down, it feels like my blood rushes back down it. normal?

I honestly don't know if you even need to worry about avoiding calcium at all. I know I told you to ask your doctor what to avoid but you can ask any pharmacist too. If I'm correct, and check w/pharmacist first, you can drink milk. You can probably take supplements too since you're not taking the Verapamil for high blood pressure.
However, I do think the pharmacist will tell you to not to eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice. I don't know why, but the pharmacist or doctor can tell you.

thanks for the advice, tho the thing with the blood rushing down arms blah blah blah has been like that for months That's a long time. Did you mention that to your doc last time you saw him? What did he say it was?

hmm other question, its gonna take a couple days to get my body back on track from a while of a bad eating habbit right? You'll start feeling a difference immediately, but yeah, it'll take a while to get your body back on track. As much as we abuse our bodies sometimes, it's amazing how fast we can bounce back.

yea its getting real better, arms are better, feel good, not shakey, legs feel weak at the thighs tho, but i think cause im moving around more often now. as for the arm blood thing, it only happens when i hold my arm over my head for a long period of time....hmmm gravity taking effect? But it does not happen all the time.

I agree with eating more frequently. I had many of these same symptoms and my doctor, by accident through routine lab tests, found that I had a potassium deficiency. Not eating often enough can really cause some problems.

iv ben eating 3 times a day, but i still get these times where if my arms or legs or shoulders are positioned a certain way, they tremble.

Could this be linked with my lower and upper back problems?

cookiepls

Why do you hold your arm over your head for a long period of time? Is it part of your job moving stuff to high shelves or something?

Also, you said you still occasionally have trembling in your arms, legs, or shoulders when their in a certain position. That might have something to do with the lack of exercise and muscle tone. You didn't mention back problems in your previous posts so it might be time to go get a complete physical. That way your doctor can hopefully rule out anything really serious, and see if you can start exercising. Do you think your work might be a little too strenuous? If you're not in good physical condition it can cause muscle strain.

It could be the reason, Back Pain + muscle strain. Last time i was at the docs i got a good bill of health, besides of coruse the PVC's.

Another Example would be when im using my mouse and press down on it with my hand and lift my arm at my wrist, my wrist and hand shake.

But lemme ask ya, could these symptoms be out if you only missed a meal for say 12-16 hours? Just wondering.

I vowed that id start working out more, that i shall and update this again in about 2-3 weeks

Like i said tho, im not weak, im still strong, i just prolly dont have strong muscle mass anymore

ok i did it again, i went two days with only 1 mean + a small snack a day. The Feelings back. Im wondering if it can be also that i have not been working out and all the muscle mass in my arms and legs are making them feel so weak sometimes

And it does it too when i pick up heavy things or set my arms on my desk a certain way.

My doc told me that my heart was good besides the pvc's and he does not foresee a problem. But i do know when i did eat better my arms felt better too

Yugokid,
If you're still skipping meals, especially 12-16 hours between meals, you're never going to be able to build muscle mass and strength. That requires proteins, carbohydrates, amino acids, you know, all the energy that food provides. I don't know how you can work out at all. Seems like you'd feel dizzy, or faint. Working out requires a lot more energy than what you're giving your body. It takes fuel to build muscle and strength but unfortunately, you're running on empty. The workouts will just get harder, the muscles won't grow, and the body will get weaker. The shakiness will continue until you start eating more on a regular basis. When you start eating better you'll find your workouts will actually start producing results. You'll see it and you'll feel it.

Now could this shakey feeling also be from eating so much sugar and candy over the past few months? I mean alot everyday, 2-3 sprites, a couple of candy bars ect

Now could this shakey feeling also be from eating so much sugar and candy over the past few months? I mean alot everyday, 2-3 sprites, a couple of candy bars ectSure, it's quite likely to do that. But your main problem is just not eating enough energy-producing foods, or enough food period. You need LOTS of protein if you're wanting to work out. Lean meat, fish, nuts, milk, etc. You need complex carbohydrates like potatoes, rice, pasta, fruit, ect. That's what'll give you sustained energy. You need yellow and green vegetables. I hope you're not trying to live for the most part, on junk foods. The sprites and candy bars are nothing but simple sugar. Plus, eating sugar makes you crave more sugar. Gives you quick energy for a few minutes, then your blood sugar quickly drops. That's when you get weak and shaky. Keep your glucose level steady by eating the foods that you know are good and you won't have that sudden drop in blood sugar. That's another reason to eat more often. Keeps it steady. Plus helps rid you of sugar cravings. If you have to have your sprites, just limit how much you drink per day. Replace some of it with water, juice, tea, or something that has at least some nutritional value. Same with sweets. Replace one of your candy bars with some kind of fruit.

Your said that your doctor gave you a clean bill of health, so just work on changing your eating habits and before you know it you'll start feeling great.

thanks for all your help. As far as the feeling better thing, im getting there, even tho my doc told me my hearts pvc's are not to be worried even tho theres so many, and can be corrected by a albalation(sp?) its my heart, im always gonna worry a little ^_^

But i am eating better, lower sugery foods, but still getting a intake, making sure i eat sometime in the morn, even if its just a apple or two, then lunch and a nice dinner.

You're on the right track. Just keep it up and try to continue to improve your diet. You know, when you mentioned your PVC's again it made me think of something else that I had forgotten. When I had them really bad a long time ago, I was pretty skinny and I ate like you did. Some days I forgot to eat. No kidding! Now that I eat better, I don't get them very often. Just every now and then if I'm overworked or stressed. So I'm thinking you might find improvement too just with your change of diet. I guess time will tell.

Keep me posted on your progress.
