Belle Sponsor princessbelle 09-29-2005, 03:19 PM Has anyone had this problem or heard of it being connected to Leukemia? hillaryb 10-03-2005, 08:51 PM If you do web searches, any symptom can be related to cancer. It is generally the result of any symptom typed into a search engine: cancer. I get itchy, because I have allergies, and I get hives, and I get itchy dry skin in the winter, but thank God, I don't have Leukemia. I've been cancer free (not leukemia) for over 12 years and when I have wierd symptoms, even I know that it is probably something less serious. I cannot think of one symptom out there that doesn't in some cases relate to cancer, but that doesn't mean you have cancer. If I get a headache, it likely isn't a brain tumor. You rule things out, and start with the small stuff, and move up from there. If you are worried, see a doctor. ryu1977 10-16-2005, 05:52 AM Itching does not have relation with Leukemia, but with Lymphoma, especially Hodgkins Lymphoma. But, very rare itching are the symptom of cancer, even in Hodgkin Lymphoma it is a rare symptom. Commonly, like hillaryb said, itching is caused by allergy, dry skin, or autoimmune disorder. Itching in Lymphoma is without any known appearance, no redness lession in the skin. Therefore if you have redness lession in your skin it means the cause of your itching is known. It could be allergy, dermatitis,etc...not a malignant disease. Don't worry so much princessbelle, try to find doctor and consult with him. |
