I have a strange buzzing/vibrating sensation in the back of my ankle. It isn't constant but it buzzes for about 2 seconds then stops for 3, buzzes for 2, stops for 3, etc.. and it repeats like this all day long. Do you have any idea what that might be?

Hi...I've had that on occasion as well as other weird sensations.
for me, it's neurological...nerve related. Did you bump it? Have you been exercising, sitting for long periods on your foot...etc? New shoes?

If it continues, tho...I would get it checked out, especially if the area gets swollen or painful which could signify something else going on.

I have back problems...and sometimes I get the weirdest leg sensations when it's being wonky.

Hope this soon passes.
