Hi all, my ten year old is nearly a black belt taekwondo and has recently been diagnosed with bunions. They flare up due to the impact of kicking. She is on a competitive team (does tournaments), so quitting is not an option. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this kind of thing?

Do they hurt her? If so, I'd have to suggest she either quit, or, if she really doesn't want to consider that, the only thing you can do is ice the bunions, elevate them, maybe take a tylenol or two. You might also consider taping her feet around the bunions to give them support.
