My 5th finger (pinky) has a hairline/crack fracture (lower part of finger towards knuckle). I was in a relationship that was abusive and my finger is fractured due to this. Happened one month ago, but I did not seek medical help for about three weeks. The walk in clinic doctor, was not too friendly and I felt like he was blaming me. Hard enough to say what happened to me. He put a aluminum splint on my finger, goes overtop and underneath, buddy taped to next finger. I also had surgery for Dequervains tendonitis three months ago on the same hand where I fractured my finger. Ex use to hit me, and also hurt this hand everytime during the assaults. Assaulted 4-5 times since surgery. Police are involved. Anyways I have been experiencing some numbness/tingling/spasms since the last assault. I did see the surgeon about 2 days after last assault, but I only told him about the pain I was in. Assault was fresh in my mind and other symptoms were not too bad at the time. Surgeon is not aware of these symptoms, see him in 6 days. He is aware of a little bit of the abuse, been supportive. Today I noticed that my pinky finger and ring finger are really tingly. Sensation similar to when your foot falls asleep. Also my palm of my hand and thumb feels tingly. Thumb has a slight burning sensation. Increased over past few days. When I am watching tv, I take the splint off to rest my finger, don't move it around. Thought maybe the splint was too tight, but I have put back on so my finger is stable, but not too tight. So I don't know if the numbness/tingling is due to the fracture or accumulative assaults?

Update...
I headed to the surgeons office yesterday, nervous. He saw the splint on my finger, asked me if I have a broken bone, how did it happen and where did I get treatment. I basically told him that it occured from assault and that I got treated at a clinic. Also asked how long I have been wearing the splint etc. A few minutes later this other doctor/med student? came in standing about 6 feet away from me. I told the surgeon that I had some other concerns/symptoms. Felt really nervous with this guy standing there and did not want to discuss the abuse or symptoms in front of him. I just looked up at him and I guess he sensed I was nervous. Mumbled something to surgeon, surgeon said okay, he left room. I wrote everything down on paper for surgeon, he read it quickly. I included that the doctor at the walk in clinic was not friendly and judgemental, felt worse leaving the clinic. Didn't name the clinic or doctor. The surgeon said he was going on holidays soon and asked me to come back next week. Said he would take the splint off my finger, check it. If it was healed, I could start physiotherapy. So I am glad he is understanding and supportive. Hopefully my finger will be healed by next week.
