I've never had bronchitis before so I dont know what it feels like to have it but I'm wondering if I do. Last week I came down with the flu...it wasnt too bad just your general flu but now I am VERY congested in the chest...there is a distinct tightness across the front of my ribcage/chest area and the same tightness around the sides when I breath. I cant cough up this junk in my lungs and when I try to all that happens is that wierd cough that sounds like a seal or a dog barking...does this sound like bronchitis or am I jsut over reacting to a bad chest cold?

Yes, this sounds like bronchitis. Better see a doctor for proper treatment. Bronchitis can go on into pneumonia.

I get bronchitis very easy and always need to take an antibiotic to clear it. Does take time even with an antibiotic.
