I had my gallbladder out in December. Before I had it out I would have Yellow, oily stools.. Most of the time it was Diarrhea... After having my gallbladder out, I am still having the same problems, sometimes it will be more solid, but still light in color. I usually have to go to the BR right after I eat. I am one of those people who hates using public restrooms, so if we go out to dinner I am always making sure that we are close to home, and that we go right home afterwards.

I was curious if that could mean something else, or maybe it is normal from the gallbladder problems, and the removal of it. Should I go to the doctor??? Would they be able to do anything for me??

Hi,
I can relate to what you are going through. I had trouble like you did before my gallbladder came out. And for me it actually got worse. You should definately go to the doctor and tell me what is going on. I learned not to eat certain foods and I also take a medicine called Questran which for me actually absorbs the bile, which irritated my colon. For years I would only take it when I was going to travel, and I finally realized that I have to take it everyday. And it is trial and error as far as how much you take. There are also other meds out there that may help you. All depends on what your doctor recommends and what works for you. And you may be able to even tell if you have certain trigger foods. Some people have their gallbladder out and have no trouble, but then others don't. But definately talk to your doctor and Good Luck!

Hey jellybean:

Someone on this board recently complained of orange, oily stools and it turn out they had a double kidney infection. I would definitely go see your doctor about this. Hope you feel better soon.
