Hi, right now after having gotten a front tooth extracted, I have a flipper. I absolutely hate it for a number of reasons. I have heard something about some kind of bridge, I have heard of it being called a ribbond bridge I believe. It's a temporary fixed acid etched polyester reinforced "ribbond" bridge and attaches to the two adjacent teeth. I was wondering if anyone had any more information like price, how stable it is, and more, or experiences for me.
Thanks!

I think what you are talking about is what is called a Maryland Bridge from where I am from. It is a tooth (fake) that is bonded to the adjacent teeth on the inside side of the mouth. I like to refer to these as a temporary fixed bridge, because you can always get rid of it with out permenent change to your adjacent teeth. On a front tooth they are pretty stable, you have to be careful of rough activities, but even if it comes out or bumped out, it can easily be bonded back on to your teeth. (When bonding is done there is acid etching done so I think that this is what they are talking about) As far as cost, this can vary from dentist to dentist and from geographic location. But it is alot cheaper than a permenent fixed bridge which involves at least two crowns and a "pontic" (fake tooth). Those can run somewhere around $1500.

Also doing this kind of bridge, it leaves open the option for a permenent fixed bridge later even doing an implant later, it you so desire.

Good Luck
