Has anyone tried the diva cup? If you have what do you think of it and would you ever go back to pads and/or tampons?

i have a divacup and i love it. i will never go back to tampons. i will only go back to reusable pads, but not disposables due to the comfort. (the reusable pads are called Lunapads and they're great too).
there are lots of reasons why I love the divacup the best:
it never ever has leaked on me, and i wear it overnight.
i can keep it in for 12 hours, which means i dont have to empty it at school in public bathrooms, unless its a long day.
i forget i have my period, because i cant feel the cup, and my mind isnt on "oh should i check to see if i need to change my pad" because the divacup wont "overflow" unless you leave it in too long (more than 12 hours), even on heavy days.
it takes a little getting used to, with the insertion and removal, simply because theres no string. you have to get comfortable with touching yourself, because the way you remove it, you have to stick your fingers in you slightly to grab hold of the cup, then squeeze it (to break the seal it makes) and then pull it out.
there is a stem, but for me it was in the way, and it poked me, so i just cut the entire stem off. cutting it actually made it EASIER to put in and remove.
long story short, its WELL worth the money, for what you will save in 10 years on pads/tampons. and theres NO association with TSS since the cup is made from medical-grade silicone (stuff catheters and artificial heart valves are made of). so its actually healthier for you.
i'll never go back to disposable pads or tampons!
ps - theres a 1-year guarantee if you simply dont like it!!

Oh my god, I LOVE my Diva Cup. I cannot believe that menstrual cups aren't more common because they are light years better than tampons or pads.
I used to leak no matter what when I was wearing a tampon, especially at night, so I always had to wear a backup pad. I don't leak at all with the Diva Cup, which is so, so nice because I don't have to back it up with a pad. It's so much cheaper in the long run, you don't throw as much garbage out, you don't have to carry a mess of products in your purse. You can leave it in for many hours at once.
Putting in/taking out takes a few days of practice (I spilled all over my bathroom floor the first time I tried to remove it) but after that it's not a problem.
It's so much cleaner, so much more comfortable. It's just great, honestly. You could also try the Keeper, but I chose the Diva because it's made of silicone instead of rubber, and because I read on another board that the Keeper can be uncomfortable because of its stiff stem.

I ordered mine through {removed} and I have to also say that I LOVE my divacup as well, I actually don't mind that time of the month anymore, no more dragging tampons around and them spilling out of my purse (has happened in public lol) and I know if I can't get to a washroom right away that I'm fine because I have yet to have it fill 1/4 of the way let alone to the top. Love it love it love, get one if you can :)

I tried the diva cup and I couldn't get the thing in and I'm not a virgin. I guess this divacup will work best for women who have already given birth to a child.

I have the Keeper and will second what everyone else has said. It is the best thing ever and everyone should get one. You can pretty much forget you have your period. You can't feel it, it doesn't leak and you can leave it in a long time, even 24 hrs. And you don't have to carry tampons, etc around with you. Plus it is comfortable to use even if you only have light spotting (I always found tampons uncomfortable for this.) Sorry if this is TMI, but I did have to stretch myself every day for a few weeks before I was able to insert it. After that, no problem. Removing it the first time was a little scary until I realized that there is a suction effect and you have to break the suction!
My local health food store sells them. Or you can get it online.

I've never had a child and I have no problem using the Diva Cup.
The Diva Cup and the Keeper can both be ordered online. Some health food/organic stores also carry them but I find that that is rare.

I went on {removed} and looked into it. I am confused though.. They have two sizes. One for women who have never had a vaginal birth or a c-section and one for women who have had given birth. I have had a child through c-section and was wondering why I can't get the small size. Why would I be streched out down there if a baby never came out of there. Also at my doctors office he uses the small speculum on me because they have 2 sizes. One for women who have never had kids or delivered through c-section and the other size was for women who had vaginal deliveries. What should I do?

the sizing guide is just a guideline... ive never had kids, and i get the cup in just fine, but it took practice. also, if you try to put it in before your period, you will probably find it difficult (they say you should do a trial run, but i dont think its necessary because you might make yourself sore).
i ordered my divacup online. its not difficult to find an online store that sells it. also, some health food stores might sell it.
totally among the best investments ive ever made!

Bottom line is that if you have a small vaginal opening whether because you never had a vaginal delivery ore a C-section ore because one is anatomically small this divacup insertion will be difficult. I tried the model for never having a delivery and that was still big for me. Would be a good idea if they make a smaller size than that one.

I just recieved my Diva Cup and wore it for the first time last night. That sucker was totally full in the morning and didn't leak at all. My only problem today is that I can't get it to completly pop open. So all day today I have been leaking. It is also really hard to turn it one complete turn like the directions say. i'm also find it messy. Any help??

I've never heard of a Diva cup. But it sounds great! Do i have to talk to my OBGYN in order to get one?
