I am 65 years old just diagnosed with first stage PSA 5.11, gleason score 6. I am in good health and a candidate for radical prostatectomy and also Da Vince Laproscopic surgery. I have had consults with each urologist who would perform the procedures I've indicated as well as Dr. Frank Critz who performs the ProstRcision at the Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia. They use the seed implants as well as the external beam radiation. I am leaning towards the ProstRcision Procedure and was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with this procedure and any opinions or advice you can lend would be very much appreciated.

I shouldn't respond, since I don't have any first hand experience, but my dad met with Dr. Critz today to discuss external beam radiation (his prostate is too large to do the seeds).

His urologist recommended the treatment option and Radiotherapy. However, I'm now wondering if we should get an opinion from another urologist.

Did you go forward with your treatment?
