Do all of the medication that is used to help with OCD cause weight gain? This could be a problem for me if they all do. I cant gain any more weight than i have. I gave up smoking and have put on 25 lbs
I really need to loose weight....not gain.
Also, another question.....totally off topic.
I see people use the term "pure O' Is that only the obsession part of OCD? If so, I think thats me :p
thank you,
Lily

no OCD meds cause weight gain, some may improve your apetite
fear of weight gain is a popular excuse for not taking meds

"Pure O" stands for "pure obsessional". I'm a pure obsessional- it means that your biggest symptom are sexual, blasphemous and/or violent obsessions and ruminations about insignificant things. Some don't have any compulsions, but most, like me, have mental compulsions such as praying. Personally, I think being a pure O is the worst b/c you have very few, if any, noticeable compulsions so no one suspects you have OCD and think you're faking, and you have to suffer alone...
