I've been looking into natural forms of birth control because I need to get back on it, but I hate the idea of getting back on the traditional hormone pills...I've heard about using Neem Oil, Wild Carrot Seeds, and Wild Yam...Does anyone have any experience using herbs as a form of birth control?
I don't think that any of those things will work very well. If you want a natural form of birth control the only thing that I know of that works is to avoid sex during your fertile period or else get your tubes tied. Before I got married 23 years ago I got a book on natural birth control and we used the method for 20 years with complete success, and then I had my tubes tied because we had 4 children, all planned, and we did not want any more. We did use a condom during my fertile period, but it is a drag to have to use it all the time. I don't remember the name of the book, but I am sure there are others out there. I took my temperature and did the charting for about 6 months, but at the same time I learned to check my cervix which is quick and easy and a lot less hassle but takes a few months to really get the hang of. Then for the rest of those years I just checked my cervix to see whether I was in my fertile period or not and it worked fine and I never took a single hormone pill.
Hope this helps. It may not be what you were looking for, but I don't think there are any safe herbs that are reliable for birth control.

Well, I know that the best way to take the herbs is to know your cycle and fertile stages...I've been tracking my cycle for almost a year now and I've learned my body's signals...I know a few days ahead of time when I'll be ovulating and I know ahead of time when my period will start. I've found a couple of books online that I'll probably order...I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this type of method.
