Hi All,

DS has been on Enfamil AR (added rice) for about two months now due to reflux. The Doctor said he'd probably grow out of it, and I think he's begining to. I would like to take him off the AR and put him on regular formula. Does anyone know the correct way to do this so it won't upset his tummy? We had terrible tummy issues in the beginning and I'd hate to put him thru that again. I know it needs to be done slowly, and a little at a time, but how slow and how much formula? Thanks all!!

We had the same problem, solution: mix equal parts of the AR and other formula. Example, 2 oz or AR and 2 oz reg formula. You have to do the same thing when switching from formula to cow's milk. Good luck!

I just finished transitioning my daughter from Similac to Enfamil this past weekend. What I did was a little bit more graduale then Andrea03 suggested. It took three weeks to get her over I would make bottles 8 oz at a time and just pour her a 4 oz bottle when she was ready to eat but making it 8 oz at a time make it easier.
Week one: 1 scoop Enfamil and 3 scoops Similac - if all went well.....
Week two: 2 scoops Enfamil 2 scoops Similac - again if all went well....
Week three: 3 scoops Enfamil and 1 scoop Similac...
Week four: 4 scoops Enfamil and no more Similac
She transistioned very well but it has to be graduale
