I haven't yet had my SVT ablated, but I have heard from multiple doctors that the procedure is simple, safe, and highly effective. I'm sure your life will improve greatly afterwards. Also, do a search on this heart board, because there are a number of threads about ablation that you might find helpful.

And, I agree - Adenosine is scary and awful. What does it make you feel like? It gives me this weird painful cramp that rushes over my entire body, and it makes my head hurt and I feel like I'm going to lose consciousness, and I can feel my heart stopping. Oh well, at least it's over quickly.

My Ablation took place 3 Mo. ago.It was quick and painless,I was told that I would be awake during the procedure but I was given something so that I don't remember any discomfort or pain.after It was over I had to lay quiet for several hours, there was some pain for a while in the groin area where the incision was made but nothing serious,I went home after 6 hours and back to work the next day.I guess It was a success because I havent had any vts since.Good luck you'll be glad you had it done.Ken
