When does your period get back to normal? I am 5 months post-pardum, bled for the first 8 weeks, have been on the pill since 3 weeks post, and for the last 3 months, I have gotten 2 full periods a month one right after the other with a day or 2 in between. I literally have my period for half the month every month. I thought the pill was supposed to regulate your cycle and I've always had a regular cycle. I do not breastfeed so that's not the problem. I was on this pill before getting pregnant but was taking the brand name and now I'm taking the generic. Could there be a difference? I thought the generic was supposed to be the same. Is anyone else's period wierd? I never had this after my first DD. I left a message for my OB but she wasn't in the office yesterday.

You sound just like me. I am 3 months pp, and have had the worst, and weirdest periods. Like you, I have had 2 in one month. I actually have a dr's appt today with my ob/gyn to discuss all of my period issues. Mine go a little deeper than just having one 2 times a month though, but whether it's normal or not, I have no idea, I just know that you are not the only one going through this, you've got me...lol! I too did not experience any of this with my first one, so this is all new to me! We will have to compare what our dr's say about it.

I'm sorry you are going through this too. I'd be curious to see what your doc says about it. Mine hasn't called back yet but I expect her to sometime today. I don't have bad periods, but it is tiring enough to have one a month, let alone 2. Not to mention it's hard enough to find the time and energy to be intimate with DH without having 2 periods a month. It's really getting old quick. I'll let you know what my doc says and we'll have to compare notes. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. I thought for sure I was the only one.

Are you breastfeeding? I've heard with breastfeeding it doesn't become normal for awhile. I was 8 weeks PP when I had my first AF and it was normal. I've had three since DD was born and all right on time and all normal. A little heavier but nothing to bad. With DS I wasn't normal for nine months and I wasn't breastfeeding. I'm lucky this time I guess. It'll come back normal soon.

I am 3.5 months post partum and have been bleeding since Sept. 8th. I'm having a D&C on Friday (10/7). Hopefully it will stop all the bleeding.
