This all started on June 11. I remember that date because I was away with my husband. I had this horrible heaviness, tightness in my chest. Like someone was sitting on me. I felt as though I couldn’t get a good breath. Not really short of breath, just like I have to keep taking a deep breath. I was very scared. I wanted to much to go to the hospital or call 911 but we didn’t. The next day I was ok, still had the heaviness/tightness going on.
On June 14 I couldn’t stand it any longer. I took myself to the ER. They did an EKG which was normal. Had me hooked to a heart monitor that was normal the whole time. My BP was GREAT! They did Cardiac Enzymes x2 that were normal. I had a stress test which was normal, my doctor said I reached 95% of my target heart rate and my BP never changed during the whole test. I also had a chest x-ray which was normal.
In March of this year I had my Blood Work done and the results are as such:
Cholesterol-148 (normal)
HDL-34 (which is low)
Triglycerides-219 (high)
LDL-70 (normal)
VLDL-CHOL-44 (normal)
Last May I had a Stress Test with the Dye, and that came out negative too. I also wore a heart monitor at home and had to press the button when I felt weird and well guess what NORMAL too.
I have recently started feeling crappy while walking and doing things around the house. I feel out of breath, like I have to breath deep and the pressure feels more THERE if that makes sense but it doesn’t totally go away while resting. I still get the pressure/heaviness/tightness feeling while sitting.
I do have High Blood Pressure controlled very well with meds. I also have Severe GERD! Or Impressive as it said on my Upper GI test, I am on meds for that too.
Does any of this sound Cardiac Related? Could these feelings be from my GERD? I am seeing a Stomach Doctor on Thursday.
I mean since all my test are NORMAL what else can they possibly do. The Nurse Pract. That I see does NOT think it is cardiac, since all those test are normal. Remember I have had this heaviness/pressure/tightness going on since June 11.
Thanks for letting me post this and see what your advice is.

if this chest pain was cardiac related, one of these tests woulda showed an abnormality especially the stress test, ekg, and chest x-ray. i dont htink its cardiac related

You didn't mention an echo which would expose valve issues, but i suspect that any valve issue would cause an audible murmur (stethascope). Something to ask about.
What about infection, possibly related to GERD?
