hello

I am planning to try and go to London to the Dept of Neuro-Otology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

I am just wondering how much the consultant fees are, and how much the balance tests are - for those of who have been.

this will be a great help

regards jonathan

Hi there

I have been going to the National since January 2004. And I contacted one of the consulants (Rosalyn Davies) beforehand and she explained that going private would take just as long as being referred through the NHS. Within a few weeks of my doctor referring me I was given an appointment...and I only had to wait a week for it.

These are the charges if you decide to go private...but I really recommend trying to get referred as it is the same amount of waiting time.

my charges for self-funding patients are £120.00, and
the tests of balance amount to £290.00.

I hope I have helped. Feel free to ask any more questions.

Kelly

Jonathan

I was told it would total about 1000 pounds to go private - I think Ilia's cost about that but she got it under insurance. But the tests, consultation and VRT do amount to about that figure. Good luck xxx
