I am having incredible spells of de ja vu and memory loss for a short period after a spell. I was told this can be related to anxiety. Any information I can get will be helpfull.
Thanks for your time

hi there.
I have terrible short term memory problems, i can go into a room five times before i remember what ive gone in for, but ask me about my 8th birthday and i can recall it like yesterday. As for de-ja-vu, i get that all the time, i can even finish off peoples sentences before them ( Hey maybe im phsyic - lol).
Seriously though, i think our brains are swamped with that much anxiety, it effects our ability to think straight at times cos its so distracting and thats why it happens.
Its just another symptom of 'good ole fashioned anxiety unfortunately.

Hi Lindslou,
I went to the doctor and explained everything that is happening to me.
One day I had a spell. I was sitting on the couch, One of my kids said somthing and I knew I had been in the exact same place and setup before. I knew Before I turned around and there was a shirt laying there. So I turned around and it WAS. Then something else happened but I dont remember that one. Anyway I was thinking I was full. I COULD NOT remember what I made for dinner an hour earlier. I had to ask my daughter. Then about an hour later I was taking out garbage and I thought there was supposed to be palm trees and sand but I live in a woody green area.
I have not been under much stress let alone anxiety. I am being sent in for a MRI on my brain. Wish me luck, Lisa aka-mom

deja vue is quite common for anxiety sufferers and nothing to worry about
