chew gum and drink water
if you keep swallowing it will help with your ears popping

Ilio

I had to go on a 11 hour with stop in month 4. I was sooooooo scared. I felt strange but it was nowhere as bad as I expected. The plane felt peaceful compared to the airports. I took a homeopathic for motion sickness. For me it was the post flying affetcs the next day and jetlag...ie Brain Fog

It's months away... So you have time to prepare. I even went to the airport before flying to check out the floor and lights (sounds crazy hu?)

You'll be fine!! 1 hour, you'll be up and down before you know it. :)

Hi Lilo,

I just got back from an 18 h journey with very little sleep. As Jade said, it was the jetlag (and lack of sleep) that was the toughest thing and not the flight. It has taken me 5 days to recover from feeling surreal and detached. Some mild dizziness but gone now. I'd also recommend ear plugs in the jet to remove the non-stop drone of the engines. If you're ears are sensitised, this can set things off. Be careful of the headphones too while watching movies. It winds me up sometimes too.

Best...Scott

I used sturgine - cinnarizine, you can buy it over the counter in the UK. Its a vestibular suppressant. I was fine.
