Help! I think I have an absess and can not get to the dentist for 10 - 14 days. Over the conter pain releivers are not helping. Is there any thing I can do to releive the pain? Are there any Dentist that can help via phone?

If you have an abcess, you need an antibiotic and a prescription pain killer. If you are in pain now, go to the emergency room. They can give you medicine.

You could also call your family doctor. An abcess is an infection which your family doctor should be able to treat.

Another option is to ask your dentist for a referal to a dentist who can get you in immediately.

Don't try to treat an abcess with home remedies, it just doesn't work.

Thanks for the advise. I called my regular Doctor and she called in a prescription for me in the local area. I would have never thought to call her. Its been 36 hours and the pain is final subsiding. THANKS AGAIN!!
