If you are really worried, then take a test, maybe that will help settle you down, cause I know how stressful a time like that can be. My DS is 3 and a half months old, and I have had 3 periods since then, and mine are a little strange. So I asked my dr about it, and she said it can take quite a few cycles before your period becomes somewhat regular. So having said that, maybe it's your body just adjusting still, I know that's what's going on with mine. But try and hang in there, and take a test just to make sure, but hopefully it's just all of the hormones getting back to normal. Good luck! And let us know what you find out.

Hi Lil-H,

Breathe. Take a test. Talk to anyone whom you trust and who will listen. You will be ok.

It could just be your body adjusting. It sounds like your periods aren't normal yet and you are only 4 months post-pardum. I am 5 1/2 months post-pardum AND am on the pill and my periods are still not regular yet. I have had my period twice a month for the past 3 months.

You could also be pregnant. You are most fertile AFTER having a baby, so you should take a pregnancy test. If you aren't pregnant now, please be careful if you don't want to get pregnant right away. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Your cycle has changed since birth, so it is going to take some time for your system to get back into a regular pattern (assuming it was previous to pregnancy). You may notice your periods are heavier or lighter than in the past as well.

As far as if you are pregnant or not, a pregnancy test will give you your answer. There are many birth control options that would be good for you if you want to calm your fears of a future pregnancy if you'd like the siblings spaced out alittle. Good luck!!
