shelliam 10-07-2005, 11:32 PM HI. I wanted to start up this thread to see how everyone is doing and how their little ones are coming along.
Kiera is 16 weeks and started cereal today. She would laugh every bite and it would come streaming down her cheeks :) I am still nursing but supplementing alot more.I am thinking of just going to formula and getting some sleep, lol. She had doubled in weight by 12 weeks and just keeps getting wider hehe. Most of her 3/6month clothes are tight and too long & she is in a sz 3 diaper! She is starting to roll back to front but gets mad once there. She really wants to be the biggest couch potato though.I will nurse her and she will strech her head and neck so she can watch. If she is on the couch facing the other way she will watch upside down!
I feel because this is probably my last child that it is rushing by so fast. I know I have to appreciate everything while I have it because I will miss it all.
BTW, thanks to everyone who gave advice on my baby's possible name change. As you can see it's the same.MIL had a co-worker have a baby a week after that and named her kyra pronounced long i and said she was thinking of changing it. I think it may have been hormonal and I don't think there was a totally right spelling for it.
Looking forward to reading how you and your little ones are!
Karen62705 10-08-2005, 10:43 AM Hi all,
Justin is 15 weeks old, and doing great. He sleeps in his crib now....putting him to sleep in his crib was a fear of mine since he spent his first three months by my bed in the basinet, but I knew he was too big for the basinet and finally put him to sleep in his crib a little over a week ago. He sleeps great in his crib wooohooo :bouncing: He goes down at 8 then wakes for a bottle around 5 then sleep till 8 or 9! My sleep deprivation days are finally over!!
He doesn't have his 4 month well baby untill the 22nd so I don't know his exact weight, but he around 14lbs. He's wearing 3/6 month clothes. We got Glamour shots taken of him on Thursday, and he was sooo adorable. It seemed like he knew exactley when to smile. The photographer said I should get him into modeling.
He's never really liked tummy time, and the day before he turned 3 months he rolled from his Tummy to his back. We can't do tummy time very much because he rolls over and thinks it's sooo funny.
All his formula problems are under control, and the Acid Reflux doesn't bother him any more. I'm still pumping, so he gets a few breast milk bottles a day as well.
Whenever we take him anywhere he is such a good boy! Personality wise he's just like his daddy...very laid back and go with the flow. I'm so proud of my little guy, and so proud to be his mommy!
I am looking forward to chating with you all through all our little ones milestones!! Crawling is next!!! :bouncing:
2fast4u 10-08-2005, 03:37 PM Clayton doubled his birth weight about 3 weeks ago. He was 16 lbs 4 ozs and is in the 90th percantile for height, weight, and head circumference. He is wearing size 6-9 months. He has rolled over once from stomach to back but absolutely hates laying on the floor on either his stomach or back. And he hasn't started giggling yet, it is more of a scream, but the other day he giggled in his sleep. It was soo cute and DH and I were sitting right there. EW started rice cereal soon after he turned 3 months. He loves it and will not go to sleep at night until he gets it. He outgrew his bassinet, so he is sleeping in the pack-n-play bassinet since I can not sleep with out him in our room. Also, this week he has his first cold and I feel so sorry for him. We took him for pictures today and he was so good. He smiled for every one and I wanted to take every one home and in the end I paid over $200. I can't believe how good he was. He loves people and smiles at almost every person he meets. Every where we go he gets attention by smiling and flirting and some times he gets loud enough until he gets attention if he is being ignored.

My little guy is the same way, and people love him! But I read that in a about a month from now they will have a "people preference" and won't smile or go to just anyone, So i'm enjoying these moments while they last.
shelliam 10-08-2005, 11:23 PM My DS was always like that and still is. DD is a mom or dad only kind of girl.
2fast4u try wal-mart for your pictures.I usedto do the expensive huge packages and I STILL have so many!I take them every couple months and get one or two shots and it costs me under $10 for a ton of pics.I figure I can get them more often that way.
2fast4u 10-10-2005, 08:28 AM shelliam - I know I really should go there. But when I made the appointment with the other place, I promised myself we would only get what we really needed. Yeah, right!! DS smiled perfectly in every one. How can you leave the pictures behind. S I really should have gone some where cheaper.
cattieos 10-15-2005, 12:14 AM I can't believe ya'lls babies are so big already! My little guy only weighs about 13 lbs so far, he is 16 weeks. But he is long. He eats plenty, he just doesn't gain weight, he just grows up instead of out!
And Wal-Mart is great for pics, we go every month, and it costs us about 50.00 to get one of every shot!
2fast4u 10-15-2005, 07:44 PM I just posted on the 3.5&4 month old thread but I have to post here too. DS giggled for the first time today. I am so proud of him. He did it twice. I can't believe. He just giggles. It is the cutest thing.

Last week when I was putting on Justins Pajamas I blew on his tummy, and he giggled for the first time!! Suddenly all the sleepless nights were a distance memory. I had a true "Mommy" moment where my heart melted. What was really funny is when he giggled I cracked up, and this made him giggle even more. I am soooo looking forward to all his upcoming milestones!!
shelliam 10-15-2005, 11:23 PM That is so awsome!!! DD started giggling last week and it sounds like a solid heeee it's so cute! Kiera just grows out not long lol. All the two pieces look ridiculous on her you can't see her feet but her shirts are tight. OH she gave me 2 nights where she slept 13 hours!!! then caught a cold so I wake up to feed her on purpose . But it is in sight now yeah.I think this cold may have a little to do with her teeth too. I keep you updated.

I can't believe how much my son sounds like yours! My son was 17 and 1/2 pounds the last doctors visit and the was 2 weeks ago so I am sure he weighs more now...And he is wearing 6/9 months and some of those are gettiing small!! Because he is very long also...I believe he was 27and 1/2 inches the last time they measured! So he is in the 95th percentile for weight and height!!
2fast4u 10-17-2005, 08:23 AM lil*hottie - I forget how long DS was at that visit. But sounds like they are about the same size. And some of the 6/9 months that he is wearing are getting to small. They are too tight from shoulder to crotch on him. The other day I put a size 12 months shirt on him and a pair of 3/6 months pants. I hvae such a hard time getting things to fit right, since he is so long. One piece outfits have to be big and 2 piece outfits have to be 2 different sizes.
shelliam- DS has a cold now too. I feel so bad for him.
shelliam 10-17-2005, 09:18 PM How long were your babies when they were born? DD was 18 1/2 and was 23 1/2 at last checkup. Your babies seem so big!! although DD was 13 lbs 8oz so she was 90th for weight and I think 25th for height. But hey it's the only time you really want to be pudgy right.I think DD's cold may be her teeth no one else has cold symptoms but she is chewing and drooling on EVERYTHING!
2fast -hope he feels better I have had her sleeping in her carseat next to me and it helps.
