I am a 33 year old with extreme prostate problems. These problems have been going on for about 1 year. I have lower stomach pain (a pushing feeling), problems with urination, lower back and hip pain. Urinating burns, have alternating constipation and diarrhea. Am unable to do any strenous activity or work. Have weak feeling. Can anyone help me out that has had the same problems? I am scheduled to see urologist Tuesday, after seeing family doctor and spine doctor numerous times. Spine doctor says minimal arthritis but nothing that should cause these problems. Prostate checks out as being hard but nothing shows in urine. Hope someone can help me with these symptoms.

Since you are only 33 years old, it sounds more like testicular cancer. My son had it at age 20 with similar complaints. His was not caught early and ended up with 8 cancerous tumors in him before he got treatment. He survive and is now 40 years old. Testicular cancer is very curable.

Only your pmd can tell you if you have prostate cancer. It doesnt sound likely, but you never know. Have you been checked out for diverticulosis. The lower stomach and back pain, alternating diarrhea and constipation. This can add up to diverticulitis. You would need to go to a gastroenterologist and have a colonoscopy . I had a diverticulitis episode when I was 30 and ended up with major problems at 40. Just a suggestion. Maybe this will help. but all your symtoms sound similar. Good luck Try discussing it with your pmd. But do keep your appointment with the urologist

Hope he is going to see a urologist for the testicular pain symptom. From what you describe, it isn't likely to be prostate cancer ... but to be sure, a simple PSA blood test is a good starting place. Sounds like "testiculitis" or "Epididymitis" , especially since it seems to have come upon him rather recently & suddenly. In that case he should get some relief with the antibiotics. The WebMD Health site has information on testicular disorders ... check it out.
Thom in VAGood luck to him and keep us posted.

Hopefully by now you have a diagnosis, which I hope was good. I didn't have any swelling or pain in testicles. The urologist after 2 rounds of antibiotics has decided that the decongestants that I take cause my prostate inflammation. I am to stay away from anything in medications that starts with pseu. I have avoided these including Benadryl, nasal sprays, etc. and so far so good. So your husbands problem could be as simple as that. I hope everything is going good for him now!
