Hey All and Scott
I am using EFT quite a lot for the symptoms associated. It has really helped with fatigue and the anxiety, as well as emotional issues surrounding dealing with the inner ear.
Scott are you still using it? Do you find it helpful? There is soooo much to tap on and they say you need to be consistent up to 5 times a day.
Curious what your experience or anyone elses is with using EFT.
Thanks,
Jade

HI, im suffering from 24/7 chronic dizziness. What is all this talk of EFT ? are we talking about emotional freedom technique ??? and if so what does that actually mean. I see that it has helped quite a few people so can we have some more detail about this ? is it something exclusive to USA ?

Hi Rick
It is worlwide. It's a form of energy psychology. Do a search and you'll find the web site. Gary Craig is one of the developers. The protocol is free on the site.
It's a little strange, but worth your while.

I'm not using the EFT much at the moment. I only use it when something stressful goes down or if any anxiety starts coming back into the picture. Thankfully it hasn't and I'm feeling pretty stable at the moment. I had never heard about the 5X a day thing before. I think you just use it until you feel a result or change has occurred - ie. the crappy feelings dissipate. I wouldn't get caught up in the numbers.
Hope you're feeling better and better.
Cheers..Scott

Hey Scott
Thanks for the feedback, you're right about the numbers thing.....don't get worked up over them. It really is a great tool. Helps me with the anxiety. Did they taech you the cue word? Where all you do is think of a word you have assigned to the tapping and say it to yourself when your in a situation where you can't tap in public? Also you can imagine the tapping and it is almost as effective. I recently took a class in EFT and learned both these techniques and applied with group and they worked!!
Glad your doing so well. I am getting geared up to go on a trip to Thailand. Be gone for 19 days. I have started a major excercise regime and yoga to try and be as strong physically and vestibularly for the trip. You seem to have done much travelling, any suggestions for coping while on the road?
Hey are you married now? Did all work out ok with your fiance. I just came back on the boards, but last time you were having problems due to vestibular frustrations
Thanks, Jade

Hi Jade,
Wow...it sounds like you were taught EFT on a deeper level than me. I was never taught a cue word but just use sentences as I tap. The talking it out thing seems to blow off a lot of steam. Very good stuff indeed.
Great to hear about the Thailand trip. I love that place. You'll be fine. The only thing working against you is probably jetlag. Get plenty of rest if you can and don't be alarmed by any stir in symptoms upon arrival if it should happen. If you feel like things are getting wound up for any reason, just stay put for a day and relax. Too much charging around on buses etc can be a bit much but maybe not...hard to say. But if it does happen, it will fizzle out fast. I know a fab place you can stay in Bangkok called shanti guesthouse. Well worth a look. You might want to try using earplugs on the jet if the noise bugs you. I was ok without it this time but not the first time.
Not married yet and still having some hassles with my other half unfortunately. She's going through a weird phase. Not sure we'll make it sometimes but hanging in there and feeling calm whatever the outcome.
Who are you heading off to Thailand with? Friends? Family? Lucky you.
Talk soon...Scott

Hi Scott
Thanks for the Bangkok referral. Going in Dec/Jan with my fiance. In Bangkok for 2 days then travelling south to Ko Mook (near Trang) and then not sure from there. Any suggestions? We're thinking Phuket as well. I like what you're saying about the buses and all that.
On the EFT thing, it does work to imagine it. But also on the cue word just come up with a word that will represent it for you and tell yourself this word is like tapping. For instance people in the class liked the word Cascade. So you would for example think of your anxiety and then think of the word cascade. I use the words "tapping threw". Apparently your body knows the sequence you have crated via the tapping and the word just like an associative memory brings the sequence up for you.
I wish you well with your relationship. But as I am sure you know, even in amongst the difficulty there is healing going on! I was single when this whole inner ear things happened and I thought I was going to remain that way, I thought who could put up with this. I barely can. But instead I met someone because of this. If I had not left LA due to having to move home I never would have met him. There is always a silver linning.
Take Care
