Not for me, for my Mother. She had a full hysdirectomy in 1980 when she had me and was always on Estrace .5mg and progesterone (unknown dosage). She stopped taking these 3 years ago because she felt she had passed menopause. Soon after, 3 months after, she hit a parked car and has been loony ever since. No doctor has ever been able to diagnose her with anything except "dementia of some type".
Anyways, I brought her to a new, younger doctor who said she MUST be on estrogen and wrote a script for 1.0mg. Now, after 2 weeks of being on it the difference is notable! A lot of her "dementia" symptoms have gone away and she seems to be returning somewhat, to normal.
My question:
Would having no Estrogen in your body cause symptoms of confusion, slight loss of memory, etc?
