 Hi, Marion. How have you been? You've either not been around lately or I've not been on any of the same threads!

I'm here. I don't post very much because I usually don't feel that I know enough about things to contribute. I do put in my two cent's worth when I feel inspired.

Thanks for asking. :) :)

Personal experience is the number one, most important thing to know about here! Are you doing ok?

Actually, I am doing quite well. I have not ventured out into the world since my last doctor's appointment, and I probably won't go out until my next one, which is this Wednesday. I guess I'm pretty much home bound these days. I found a lump in my left breast last week, and I am going to have it checked out on Wednesday. Like I need this, right?

I am now on a low dose of Provigil (100mg) and it really helps keep me from napping, which is good. I'm not sure if it helps with the muscle fatigue and weakness, but I intend to try to do some housework this week, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

We are having a family gathering of around 30 people at our house next Sunday, and even though my hubby said I wouldn’t have to lift a finger (isn't he wonderful?), I know I won't be happy if things around the house don't look just right.

The family members for the party on Sunday are mostly hubby's family. My in-laws, who winter in Florida, are leaving next week, so it's sort of a "See you next spring" send off for them. They are in their 90s, and I guess the feeling is that one of these years they might not feel like coming north any more. I am a part-time wheelchair / part time walker person now, and most of the guests don't know that I have been ill. I figure that they all can find out at once and get it over with.

In general, I am feeling well though very weak. I have the usual transient pains and numbness, but nothing too excruciating.

Thanks for asking, lilc. You made my day.

Marion, it makes me SO HAPPY when I hear someone is feeling pretty good. I'm so glad you are doing ok.
Should certainly be an interesting family gathering! (And yes, Hubby sounds wonderful!) It's interesting to consider the possible reactions. Please don't overdo before they get there. I know I rarely recognize that I'm pushing too hard until it's too late. Hope you can "pace yourself" and enjoy entertaining.
You're still on my prayer list! Let us know how Sunday goes!

Shoot, I just ran right past the lump. Yeah, that sure is something you need right now... Let us know how Wednesday goes. Praying it is NOTHING, and that they say so on Wednesday. But I know how horrible it can be to go through the finding out process, have had two close friends go through the lumpectomy and the waiting.
You are part of the family on this board. Even though it isn't MS-related, we want to be here for you, regardless of the medical issue. Let us "hold your hand", be a shoulder, cry and/or rejoice with you.
