I am waiting for the approval for another MRI to discuss my surgical plan now I am post prego. In reading over my prior doctor reports and MRI I was wondering about the bone spurs I have along with the herniations. I have one at C4-5 which my doc wants to do a excision and fusion (ok what is excision? Does that mean removal?) This one is causing significant spinal and cord compression to 6.5mm, along with bilateral C5 radiclopathy. My doc had told me that I was at risk of significant cord damage. He scared the crude out of me. Now a year later I find myself doing more and not worrying so much. hmmmm maybe not good. Anyhow they also found that C7-T1 has a bulging disk and the new doc says degenerative arthropathy (what is that?) and some foraminal stenosis C7-T1. I have tons of tricep pain both arms and that is from C6-7 but the new doc doesn't seem to concerned about fixing that. The PT said I most likely will need that fused as well as I am 2yrs post laminectomy with pain in the same areas. I also keep seeing how the doctors write that I do not have myelopathy which I am glad for but does that mean they take it as less serious? Just wondering. I find out more from those of you how had this surgery then I do the doctors.
