 3 to 5 bowel movements a day. It feels like I can't get it out in one sitting. In the mornining, I have at least 3 in 2 hours. All day I freak when I feel the urge and can't find a bathroom. I'm sure most of thats in my head. What should I do to have one BM a day. I just recently started drinking a lot of water. I hardly drank any before. I am hoping that will help a little. When I'm sitting in the car I feel pressure that gives me that urge, it's like I'm always full. Thats all I worry about all day..Thanks

Just 3? You're lucky. I always had 10 due to nerves. Now that I'm taking
spirulina (5 daily) I can barely go anymore. It has calmed me down So much--I should be happier! No more anxiety but now--constipation
There is no way you can Ever guarantee one stool a day. Sounds great, though! :D
ohno!

i had this problem and recently it has started getting better (from 3-5 per day to 1), i am on a low carb diet, but also have been taking lots of water, so maybe if you change your diet and see what happens?
I went to the Doc yesterday..He put me on Prozac..Maybe its all in my head, I hope it works

How creative of him: Prozac. I've started on St John's Wort, a natural herbal anti-depressant. NO SIDE EFFECTS; keep that in mind. Do a search on SJW; I think you'll be intrigued. It's isn't a weak sister :) Then do a search: Prozac Side Effects and see what you come up with. :nono: A lot of people don't know that you have to take 900mg of SJW daily, divided. Good Luck!

I use to have 2 or more BM's per day. I went on a low carb, high fiber diet and now have only 3 or 4 per week and losing weight like crazy. No more canned foods. Only fresh cooked or raw veggies, lean meats, no juices except veggie or tomato, no white bread or white pasta, no sugar. No instant rice, cereals, etc. They are overly processed and turn right into added pounds and extra bowl movements.

that is wonderful; I am happy for you. But I'd rather be on the toilet than give up sugar  I've been eating sugar and white everything for 61 years and look much younger than my age. I love lifting weights and exercising and my supplement stash is vulgar. I mean, my husband teases me that we have a huge cabinet stuffed with supplements. I never go to the doctor; never have to, have all my original teeth, haven't had a cold in over ten years (!) . Just ate a pizza. The toilet thing is quite annoying but my husband is a big hulk of a guy and I couldn't fix meals like that. If I ever saw him munching on a raw vegetable I'd fall over and Have to be hospitalized from the shock.
But keep it up; you could live to be 120. My ex MIL is 94 now; amazing to me. She has eaten an egg and sausage almost every morning for 85 years. If she hadn't broken her leg she'd still be dancing with her 89 yr old husband.
There are no guarantees in Life. I guess we all have to make our way as best we can while dealing with our weaknesses (like mine for Kit Kat white chocolate bars) :o Time to take my Spirulina Pacifica and fish oil cap

:) Anxiety can play horrible things on your mind. I went through, and sometimes a little now, a stage of going to the toilet 15 times a day with loose stools and mucus/slime and i thought i was dying. the more i focused on it the worse and worse it got. i even had blood which scared me so much esp. when the doctor said she couldn't feel a hemarrhoid. the best thing is to have a sigmoidscopy. i finally had one 16 months later and diagnosed as IBS with a small hemarrhoid. please get one done for peace of mind and speak to your doc about your anxiety
