View Full Version : The Flu Shot Issue Revisited

Hey Gang...

I just spoke with two different neurologists today...my own and another I conversed with online.

Both said there are no issues whatsoever with receiving a flu shot UNLESS you have experienced sensitivity to them in the past. In that case, you should check with your GP.

BOTH told me that the flu shot will NOT trigger an exacerbation and that people with chronic conditions should seriously consider the vaccine.

Hope this helps those of you who may have still had questions. I am definitely getting mine. Really...what it all amounts to is what is best for YOU and only you and your doctor can decide that.

I've never had a flu shot, just too danged young and healthy for that!!! Oh, oops, no longer all that young and have an immune system thingy. Sigh. If I'm still on the East Coast for winter this year, I'm going to get one. I have realized the past couple of years that the flu seems to hit a lot more people I know out here (DC) than in any of the other places I've lived (Midwest and Southwest). Must be the subway!
Thanks for the info.
