Hello everyone!

Saturday night at the ER, I was diagnosed with Costeocondritis. I live in PR and of course the talk with the doctor was in Spanish. I have been trying to get some info on said condition but found nothing; perhaps there is an English term for Costeocondritis? Tried translations Spanish-English but they all came back as Costeocondritis in English too. Googled for message boards and found this wonderful website. Anyway, the doc said Costeocondritis is a swealling of 'cartilagos' around the heart and between the ribs. I was taken to the ER with a very bad pain in my chest that lasted for about four minutes. My upper neck, and the sides of my head hurted bad too. My arms were very weak too.

Do any of you know what this is? I found nothing online.

Thanks!

PS: please excuse my English..I know it's not very good.

The correct spelling is costochondritis, you dr. is right it is inflamtion of the rib cage but never heard of it being the heart. I have it for years and never had pain that lasted four minuets, mine lasts days at a time goes away and comes back.

Go to the fibromyalgia board and look through the posts there are many posts about this dd.
