I read that deja vu is possibly related to epilepsy. Has anyone else heard of this?
I experience deja vu sometimes, but have never been told I have
epilepsy by a doctor or had the symptoms.
Any info?
Thanks.

I too have heard of something like this in relation to something that would happen right before an epileptic seizure actually occurs in epileptic patients.Alot of people including myself from time to time will feel that deja vu type of feeling but in no way related to epilepsy,it just kind of "happens".I know certain confirmed epileptics will smell some sort of reoccuring smell (like burnning rubber in one patient I heard about)right before they seize.i think this would be considered kind of an "aura"? like in certain types of migrane patients.I get this same bizarre flashing lights and zig zaggy type of vision distortions right befor my headache will hit.this is called a "classic" migrane. Some people get this with every single migrane(I do) and some just get hit with the sudden really nasty headache without any warning at all.i think that this is kind of the same thing with certain people who get reoccuring seizuresit is just that same "feeling" that they will get right before the seizure hits.Do you know what I mean?it at lest gives the person a chance to lie down in an area where they will be the safest and wait for it to happen.just a possible theory.FB
