HI everyone:
I was diagnosed bipolar 2 month ago and Im on prozac 10mg twice a day and xanax once a day, but I stoped the prozac because of sexual side effects. My doc wont change the med and I just can tolerate it. Now Im in an "up" period i feel fine just with the xanax but I was wondering how long is this going to last, Im afraid that i will wake up down tomorrow. last week i was really down almost suisidal Im afraid. please tell me your expeirneces.

Im still up up up, but irritable and it is affecting my babies ( 3 year old twins) if it wasnt for them I wouldnt be taking any med, i have always lived like this and never woried to please anyone, but now is diferent. Can we be normal sometime in this life , is this forever? You said that the ups and downs are still there,then, whats the point? are they more controlable for you, less drastic with meds?

I was on an up for 3 months or so then I crashed hard (very low for about a week or two and better and better for a total of two months)
Things like diet and exercise and the right amount of sleep helped me out of the low.
