I recently got off the pill to get my sex drive back and am considering other birth control options. I am trying to avoid any hormonal methods, copper IUDs are out because I already get severe cramps, and I don't trust condoms alone. what kinds of luck have you guys had with using condoms and spermicide together? I want to hear it all the good and the bad.

i had a long distance relationship for almost 5 years, and i used condoms and spermicide. i never had a pregnancy scare, because we used them the right way. once or twice a condom slipped off but thats what the spermicide is for.. mishaps.
other than that, i dont have anything bad to say besides that it sort of takes away some spontaneity. (but the increase in sex drive might be worth it). but that cant be helped considering what it is. except the spermicide i used had a 1 hour window from when you put it in.
i never had any allergic reaction or anything. some people do.
