i came off the pill, had a withdrawal bleed, then 5 weeks later had a normal period but i havent had another period since then for 14 weeks. is this normal? how long has anyone else waited for a period after coming off the pill? im starting to worry!

While it can take several months for your period to return, after a few months, it's generally a good idea to consult your physician. While there is most likely no problem, call your physician and ask what they normally suggest to women in your position. An exam may be necessary just to check things out.

This has happened to me coming off the pill before. Are you still sexually active now that you have come off the pill?.... if you aren't, i am pretty sure its just your cycle regulating back to its normal routine... it usually takes a couple months for you to get back to having your period normally after getting off the pill. If you are still sexually active, then you might be pregnant. Go to planned parenthood to get tested or consult a physician.

i have been having unprotected sex but ive done tests that say im not pregnant so i dont think its because of that.

well what kind of tests are you doing?!? because unprotected sex..is unprotected sex. hun you are NOT on Birth Control anymore..why would you be doing this? Pregnancy tests CAN be wrong sometimes..or for some reason you could be testing too early. but on the other hand you might not be pregnant..but..id wait it out longer and just keep taking tests..and USE PROTECTION!! you dont need added stress.

ive tried all sorts of tests. and theyve all been negative and i dont particuarly feel any different so i dont think i am. we both want kids, thats why i came off the pill, but wanted to have afew normal periods b4 we got pregnant. just been a been a bit lazy with being careful! but i really dont think pregnancy is the reason for it being so late, which is why im worried.
