I'm scared.
Every birth control I have been on has given me SOME negative side effect- usually horrible bloating, cramps, btb on seasonale, etc. I finally thought I'd be OK on Nuva Ring given that almost nobody had a bad side effect. Well, I got cystic acne! Now that I'm off it, my skin has not quite gotten back to what it once was. I want to start Yasmin to improve my skin and periods, and also because people who love it seem to really love it. But it also seems that people who had a bad time with it had everything from multiple health problems to severe depression! I told my boyfriend to "keep an eye on me" this next month or so in case I turn into a crazy person...but I guess I'm just expecting the worst. Usually Im excited to start a new pill thinking it will be "the one" and change my life so to speak. I am starting to think there isn't a b.c. pill out there for me. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance- did anybody that had horrible mood swings stick it out and then they went away? What about acne? I really want this one to work well with me.

Most side effects will go away after a few months. Give Yasmin an honest try. You aren't going to be satisfied with any pill or method unless you give your body a few months to get used to the hormones.

You should really try it and for a few months and see. I've had excellent results after toughing it through the first few months. I have never felt better with all the problems had/have. Face is clear too. Good Luck!

Hi! I just started Nortrel and Wellbutrin XL together. I have been on the WB before and needed to be put back on it. I haven't been on BC since I was about 17, which is 10 years ago! I don't know which pill is causing what symptoms, that's what stinks about starting both at once. I get a really bad belly pain when I first take them. I have also had a very small appetite, which isn't like me! and I have been feeling nautious. I am hoping the combo of both doesn't cause weight gain. But my period was better than usual which was nice! Good luck with your combo, you do have to give it a few months, wich I do too, that might be the hardest part the wait to see if the symptoms go away!! I hope they do for you!!
