Someone told me the BC Pill is effective after 14 days of use. I had thought it was after one full pack of pills. Can anyone clarify?

Also - How long before the (hopefully) positive effects of the pill begin, such as less cramping, lighter periods, clearer skin, etc??? I realize these may NOT occur, but if they do - about how long does it usually take?

Thank you very much for any help you can give me :bouncing:

It is effective after 7 days of perfect use. Many professionals say that it takes a month to become effective so that the woman gets used to taking the pill regularly before relying solely on it for pregnancy protection. This is explained in your package insert that came with your pills.

It can take several cycles for your periods and cramps to lighten. Most women find that their complextions get worse before they get better. Nonetheless, give the pill several cycles.
