I just started Tri-Nessa, and I was wondering what other women had to say about it. I have heard from various people some really horrible things, and I would just like to hear from a few others on what some of the side-effects are. I have only been on it for 2 weeks, and so far so good. But some women have mentioned that I may gain weight, become severely depressed, and vomit. Confirmation on any of these as well as other feedback would be great.
Thank you!

I was on it for years and never had any problems, except for a low libido. But, I've always had a low libido, so I can't say that the pill was to blame.
As far as hearing those "horrible things," remember, people will openly complain when they don't like a product, or have problems with it. Most people don't talk about their problem-free experiences, which is why you hear mostly negative about every product available.
Weight gain, depression and nausea are side effects of ALL pills. Every brand of birth control has these listed as side effects. They aren't just exclusive to Trinessa. Most professionals say that the pill doesn't cause weight gain, but it can increase your appetite. If you give into that appetite, you're going to gain weight. Any weight gain that is attributed to the pill is water weight, and should only amount to 5 pounds or so. Nausea is typically short-term, and can be avoided by taking the pill with plenty of food or at bedtime. It usually goes away after a few cycles. And depression can happen. If you notice after a few cycles that you're depressed, talk to your physician.
Again, give Trinessa a fair try, and don't allow other people's experiences determine how your experience will be. Give it at least several months before you decide whether or not you want to try another brand.

I've been experiencing some bad symtpoms of PMS since my insurance company switched me fom Ortho to Trinessa - at least I think thats about when it started. I never used to get PMS symptoms but now I get headaches, nausea and achiness and fatigue up to 10 days before my period. I don't know for sure whether it is related to the Trinessa, but I am going to ask my gyno about a pill change next time.

My insurance also switched me to Ortho Tri-Nessa. I hated it! I was on Ortho Tri-Cylen for 5+ years with no major problems. I had the WORST PMS ever last month. I also became really depressed. I only took it for one month and then demanded to switch back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I have to pay more - but it is worth it.

That's interesting, maybe it is the Trinessa causing me problems too. I will definitely ask my gyno about it.
