View Full Version : Earth shoes after fusion? Recommendations?

Hello,

I would like to ask the 'Fusion Experts' out there for any recommendations on brands of shoes to wear after big toe fusions.

Have any of you tried Earth shoes? They're supossed to give good support (which I will still need). I'm looking for something that will not cause more pain, be supportive... and if they can actually be cute, well, that would be a miracle!

I think Birkenstocks may still work, and I find for athletic shoes either the Brooks or Saucony 'stability' shoes work well... at least so far.

For some reason I thought that after my fusions healed I would be able to wear 'normal' shoes again... but I don't think that will ever happen! (Man, was I dreaming or what?! )

Thanks in advance,

~Heather

Dunham makes a great shoe. They have one more on the dress side (Your new version of dress) It has a wider box toe and has support. I think Dunham is part of New Balance. I have had a triple fusion and this is the only "Dress Shoe" that I can wear.
