I have recently returned from a holiday in the meditereanien...as soon as i got home i noticed symptoms of a cold coming on....5 days later i awoke to find that i was extremely hot and a rash had appeared on my face and neck and chest....i thought nothin of it and left it for a week and half...when it hadnt got no better i went to see my GP, now he said it was somthing to do with a throat infection, that is releasing toxins into my bloodstream and causing a rash on my face....however he said it was odd that it hadn't spread ne where else....ne way, he put me on a course of penicilin...but after 3 days its not really helping, please help me....i read that what i have is like or is scarlet fever....is this serious....am i gonna die from this?...how long does it take before the penicilin kicks in?....and ive also noticed the main vein u can normally see on the inside of ur thumb...near where it joins the hand has become more prominent....im 20 years old and im an extreme worrier....please help

If it's been three days and it's not doing anything, I'd give your doc a call...that's what I've been told. :)
