I've been living with this for about ten years now so I suppose I should start from the begining.
It's seemed to start for no reason at all, in other words there was no injury involved. It started on the lower left sided and progresses from there to my left glute then the left calve then the big toe. The big toe actually was numb for a while and the calve felt like a worm in there and fire of course. But the main point was the lower left side of my back. After about two years of living with that the pain went to my croch in my hips, after sitting for a while upon standing I could feel cracking and crunching in the croch area on the left side. It got to the point that I could hardly walk.
I was seeing my family Dr. the entire time, was xrayed and given pain pills, prednesone and a strong analgezic(sp) called cataflam.
Nothing worked and it seemed to go away on it's own. But still came back from time to time mostly in the summers.
Now I'm having another major flare up only this time it not the same now it seemed to be in the hips on both sides but mostly on the left. I'm still able to work because I have to but it's not easy. I'm on my feet all day and walking and it hurts like hell in my left hip every step I take. The pain is on the side where the leg bone meets the hip, and there is no cracking and crunching just pain when I stoop down I'm ok but when I stand if feels like my glutes are about to explode.
I was thinking it may be associated to a blood flow problem but I'm not sure, also with this new hip pain is a pain that is between my left shin and the muscle right beside it, the skin there is numb
For a while I thought it was the same old back pain but it's not because it too had made a reapearance.
The way both come and go seem like a blessing when I'm pain free. But there most be some thing bringing it on.
Alright, now from time to time I have bleeding hymroids(sp) which when it does bleed seems to bring on the back and hip pain. Thing is though there was no bleeding when this first started.
For the past two years it's only been the hips but now I have both the back and the hip pain.
Could this be caused by an infection? Something is cuasing it to come and go.
I can live with the back part, I have for a long time. It's the hips that are giveing me hell because I have to keep on keeping on.
I don't feel sick or weak only pain.
I'm at a loss as to what this is and apparently so is my Dr.
