Does anyone know if you have an abcess/infected teeth does the pain linger or can it come and go?? My dentist told me months ago that I had an abcess and two infected wisdom teeth. I sometimes have ear pain, sore gums around the teeth, jaw and facial pain. However, the pain comes and goes. I'm not complaining, but it just seems that If it were severe I would feel more pain on a regular basis. Thanxs in advance

Yes; it's not a Tall Tale. The pain comes and goes. When it's Gone, you're tempted to leave it alone. After finding this out I rushed to an endo for a root canal on my abscessed tooth. It was a BREEZE. However, my face was swollen/sore for 3 days. On about Day 5 it was AOK. Good luck and do not wait or the root canal may NOT be painless (May not)plus the infection spreads.
