Has anyone tried accupuncture for vertigo/nausea? And if so, how long do the results last?

PCP wants to put me on more medication for vertigo/nausea because it's at least an every other day occurance. But, my medicine cabinet is chuck full of meds for sx and I don't want to take any thing else!!! Good grief, if someone looked in my medicine cabinet they'd think I was a hypochondriatic drug addict.

I've had tremendous luck treating both with acupuncture. I'm devoid of both. If you haven't already, try meclazine.

question about the vertigo. when u get it with MS, is it for the rest of ur life? or does it disappear like other symptoms, and come back as something else? because i read some other articles on MS vertigo that said most people experience it during their bouts with MS, but it didn't say it lasted for the entire span of ones existence. and also, when u get vertigo MS, is the lesion on the brain stem? or just somewhere around the brain in general? thanks

Sorry Sco, can't answer your question. I can only tell you what's going on with me. I thought I was out of the flair that started back in January and lasted 5 months, but vertigo is a new sx.

About a month ago I got hit very suddenly with vertigo, I couldn't see straight, then vomited. Had to lay down for the rest of the day.

Last week vertigo started mildly but daily, effecting me when I look up and down from the computer, when scrolling down a webpage quickly, looking down. This causes constant nausea. I just might have to resort to medication to be functional until I find a complimentary therapy. This is definately effecting my work as a Business Mgr because I work on the computer all day long
