Fungus is gone!!! Can anyone relate??? I'd love to help others!!!!!

I've had fungus on my big toe nails (yellow, brown, smelly, thick, just YUCK!) for as long as I can remember (well, 13 yrs.). Nothing has worked to clear my condition, but I was chicken to try lamis. etc. Since I was recently diagno. as having full-blown anemia (iron), I started taking large doses of iron (ferrous sulfate) as well as a multi-vitamin (just CVS - nothing fancy!) three weeks ago. To my surprise, I noticed that my big toe nails were looking 100% +++ better. Does anyone know what particular vitamin has most likely contributed to my success in hopes that it continues and, even more importantly, to help others?

Iron deficiency will effect the nails in the manner you described - I know; I suffered for years as a child with Iron deficiency anemia and my nails suffered for it. that's one reason why I became a cosmetologist/nail tech - so I could learn to properly care for my nails.

Try using some of the over-the-counter medications such as Reclaim AF. Youwill need to apply it twice a day for as long as it takes to kill the infection. this can take from 6 months to a year depending on how bad the infection is.

Wow that's great, I am thrilled for you. I just clipped off the last bit of fungus that has plagued my big toenail for 7 years, using vinager twice a day. I also put amoresse thymol into the area of seperation twice a day as well. It took me over a YEAR to grow off the old nail. The new one is flat pink and beautiful---the old one was GROSS.
My question to you is how did you see a difference in your nails so quickly. With fungus infections, nothing can be done with the damaged nail even with oral meds. The new nail has to push the old one off---that usually takes FOREVER!!! Maybe what you had wasn't even a fungus.
Oh well whatever it was, I'm glad it's working out for you. :)
