Hello out there.. Here is my problem/question...

It doesnt matter if I brush my teeth or not..which I do 3 times a day, But I get this nasty taste in the back of my mouth.. its terrible.. I use this tongue scraper thing, and it takes care of the problem for just a little while, But not long enough.. and I have never had any remarks made.. But I seem to think that how bad it tastes.. that I must have horrible breath as well, Im not sure if this is caused by my teeth needing to be fixed, or if I need to alter my diet in some way.. Can anyone help please?
Thanks

When was the last time you saw your dentist?

When was your last dental cleaning?

If you have any gum diseases this could cause a bad odor. If you have alot of tarter build up on your teeth this would too cause bad breath. If you have a sinus infection or a lot of post nasal drip, this too can cause bad breath. If you are not doing a good job brushing and leaving alot of plaque behind, even if you brush 3 X a day, this doesn't mean you are doing it right. If you have rotten teeth, well lets just say...Do you know of anything rotten that smells good? Cavities will cause bad breath. And finally...Do you floss your teeth regularly? Plaque between your teeth will irritate your gums, cause gum disease, causing bad breath. Bacteria live within the plaque. Bacteria eat and have waste products just like us....and it doesn't smell like roses. Plaque is the white sticky film on your teeth that starts to build up on your teeth, again, the minute you put your toothbrush down.

Good Luck, I hope this answered some of your questions.
