Hi, I was talking to one of my friends this morning and she was going on about her heart. so we did some tests, just like by ourselves (i'm pretty clued up when it comes to hearts lol)

Her resting rate was 90bpm (sitting), when she was standing it was still 90, but her heart did beat more forcefully, she also started getting multiple PVCs, it got to 13pvcs in 30 seconds.

She ran on the spot for 1 minute and her heart went to 160bpm, her whole chest was moving when it beated, but she only got 3 beats in 30 seconds.

After running for 2.5 minutes, her heart rate was 166bpm, and the rhythm was completely normal.

She does get out of breath easily, and sometimes gets chest pains after running for a while (not in the tests we did).

What she was worried about though, was she sed sometimes when she's sitting down, she'll lose her breath and, cant catch it easily again, her heart rate also goes very fast (not sure of exact speed), this normally lasts for a couple of minutes.

hope some1 here can shed light on why its happening

thanks

tim

Hi hougtimo,
I don't think your friend's concerns can be diagnosed in this forum, even if we were all cardiologists. I am not downgrading her concerns, but she really needs to see (face-to-face) a qualified person to assess her cardiac status. I would encourage her to do this as soon as possible, especially as she appears to be so anxious about her situation. All the best.
Excelsior
